1 Year PET Next Week

Hi Folks, Have my 1 year PET/CT scan coming up next Monday on the 8th. Actually my 1 Year 'anniversary' was yesterday and really, it seems much longer than 1 year now. The scan was scheduled for this week, but we have our annual golf tournament this weekend which is one of those things I had to skip last year and don't want to miss it again, so its next week for the scan. Priorities you know.

If you would be so kind, keep me in your thoughts for next week. I'm hoping the hot spot that showed up in the prior 2 scans has gone for good, or at least continues to diminish in size and strength. I'd be ecstatic with either of those 2 outcomes. Cheers.

    Congrats on achieving that 1 year mark!!!! That's huge. Thoughts and prayers are heading your way for a clean PET.

    Just to let you know, I had hot spots too and they disappeared by the end of the first year PET scan. So I expect you to have the same experience that I had. The rads continue to cook for a long time and those hot spots take a while to shrink. That's what I was told. I will keep you in my thoughts this week as you approach the 8th.
