Heart burn

Ok this may sound like a strange question but does the chemo cause Heart burn. I am having a lot of heart burn for several days after the chemo. Right now I don't know what is from the chemo and what is just normal stuff. I was just given the the new of cancer almost two months ago. This is all new to me sugestions whould be great.

    Yes, I had some issues with heartburn...do they give you Pepcid with your pre-meds? That helped me & there were times in between treatments when I had to take Zantac.

    Heart burn
    I didn't experience heart burn, but the chemo really does a number on the lining of your stomach and bowels. Taking L-Glutamine helps heal these tissues.

    I had heartburn from taking the steroids, they told be to take tums or Maalox which did help.

    Hi, yes with my latest chemo, I experienced heartburn too. I mentioned this to my primary care doc and he gave me a prescription for Prilosec. He explained to me that the heartburn is because (I've been on a lot of different chemos) and affects the stomach, nose and throat.

    thank you all I am on maalox and tums but it just did not help I will talk to my pc about something different glad to know it is not me just being a baby I realy do like this website it has given me a lot of info
