My daughter just asked me if I had a baby in my tummy? I wish so badly I could say yes honey!

I hate that an innocent question from my 5 year old would not get me so down. I wish I could see into the future and know that indeed we will be able to get past this hurdle and be able to live long happy lives and be able to have many more children.

Any other young caregivers here that have to think about these types of things?

I sympathise with you. I have 2 young girls - fortunately we did no know or believe there was a cancer issue before we had them (the initial cancer diagnosis was when I was 7 weeks pregnant with our first, and we thought we had got through that, but I was 9 weeks pregnant with our second when we got the "its spread to the lungs" diagnosis). It has been precious to have our two lovely girls, but I also feel ripped-off that we couldn't enjoy the pregnancies and early parenthood without cancer hanging over us. I am incredibly happy that I have got my babies, but definately long to have more, or at least make the decision on my own terms if I want more.
It is really tough to lose your ability to have plans and dreams for the future. Even if they are distant dreams.
I wish I didn't have to see into the (likely) future, and just could live in blissful ignorance for a bit longer.
