Synovial Sarcoma attached to the lungs

My younger brother who is 29 was just diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma that was attached to the back of his lungs. It was less than 1" in size and he had surgery to remove this and the area around it. He has an appointment with the oncologist tomorrow. Everything that I have been reading has a terrible prognosis and I am so worried about him. Has anyone ever had this on their lungs? Has anyone had this and been able to recover and live a long prosperous life after it was removed?
