HDIL2 worked for me!
So there are lots of stories about how this doesn't work, and it is really a pretty tough treatment, but it did work for me. If you are eligible for the treatment, it really is the only thing that can actually cure kidney cancer that has spread from the kidney that can't be cured with surgery, so it's definately worth a try.
I hope this helps someone,
Amy

That is fantastic

I am very glad that this worked for you. I agree that the treatment is a tough one but.... If it works, it works.
Can you please give a little more information? In particular, where was the treatment administered, how many rounds (One round equals one week in, one out, one week in again...). Is this the first scan after the first round? Any other things you found of interest?
Thanks!!!

Administered at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan. This was the first scan after the first round. My oncologist thought the mass on my chest wall was reduced by at least 90%. The mets in my lungs appear to be gone as well. He is not sure if what is left is actually cancer or scar tissue. I have another scan scheduled for the end of this month. He said usually if you respond to the treatment, it will continue to shrink the cancer, but for a very small amount of people it could come back, so we are praying that it continues to work for me.
Sorry I'm just replying now, we were on vacation
