i am a stool photographer, not stills but stools
they say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well i'll ask my colorectal surgeon if he agrees!!!!
yes i have photographed every stool for the last few days, thats lots.
going to start photographing meals/food as well.
then i will have inputs and outputs covered.
when i get asked how often and what type. or what food i will just refer them to my web albums.
if it helps them to see how often and exaxtly what comes then its a good thing.
the bloody wipes also get shot. i'll add voice comments to the photo as soon as i work out how.
anyone else got this desperate after reconnection? its 3 months now.
its late tonight, pooping non stop, cannot sleep, but really tired, got to work all day today, get the kids to school. poor pete.
i am sure my cancer unit shrink thinks i am nuts. cannot wait to hear what she says
about the pictures. i guarantee i know my surgeon will look at the photos.
hugs,
pete

hilarious Pete!
You've already had me chuckling, thinking of you squatting along the highway anytime you feel the urge...now pics too? Try not to take any pics of your public "emergency" poops...they could be used against you for indecent exposure or something :-p0 -

Pete I remember how bad it was after reconnection. Plus the terrible pain in the bottom. It took some time, over a year before I found some relief. I had a prescription for proctozone HC cream that stopped the pain. And I started eating a tablespoon of ground flax seed every day, I just mixed it in water and drink/chew it down. No other special supplements or special diets. I spoke with a man who runs a nutrition shop and he told me after a week or so of using the flax seed fiber I would start having a normal, formed long movement every day, and he was right. He also said the amount taken could be gradually increased to 2 tablespoons a day. I do no juicing or anything special. Just a vitamin D, a multivitamin and the ground flax seed. I use the Omega-Life brand fortified flax, but I imagine any brand would do. It's worth a try, and has to be better than taking more meds to try to regulate. Good luck to you, it's a rough road, but it does get better.

I feel your pain
I was like you after my reversal in 8/03. My bottom was always sore and I too was living in the loo. I was also back working full time. I spent many nights in the loo or in the tub from a sore bottom. I ended up having a colostomy done 18 mos. after my reversal. I havent looked back.
I hope it does get better for you. I tried everything, nothing worked.

Dear maureen,
Thanks for sharing your story, sorry we got some bad reversal exeriences in common.
It turns out pain, accidents and dysfunction are not uncommon. As I. Said before here I am grateful to be here, so up'll just suck it u and see what tomorrow brings. Most days are good now. Say a bad night once a week I can manage. Now bad nights every night well hat was testing.

Pete0
