Update from a few weeks ago. My insurance has approved Avaistan.

I had my first treatment with it on Tues. Other than fatigue and bad taste in my mouth, I'm doing okay from it. I also had Taxol/Carbo. This was my second treatment. 2 down; 4 to go!

Great
That's good news. I know about all the negative press out there regarding Avastin, but I think it really helped me. I wonder whether your doctor will suggest going on maintenance Avastin once you are finished with chemo. I don't know what the latest opinion is with regard to that. The biggest side effect I noticed with Avastin is nasal congestion and runny nose. Keep A LOT of tissues handy.0
