A bit of a setback

Hi all
Mark is currently on his second round of Chemo (Taxol), everything has been going really well except that now he has a really high fever I have just left him at the hospital where they are admitting him for a couple of days for antibiotics and fluids, just really praying that we have caught this in time, you know it is nearly a year since we were told to look at Mark's life in terms of months not years how we so want to prove them wrong, now I worry that perhaps we shouldn't have gone ahead with the Chemo but these choices are so very difficult, Mark wanted to try because our family is so young and I am sure he is not ready to give up yet, but how much can one body take!! Damn this disease, sorry just really worried.

sorry
Hi Ann, So sorry to hear of your setback. It always seems like one step forward, two steps back with this disease. You are so right about the chemo, the choices we are given are so difficult. You will never know if you made the right choices, and there's always the what if...
All the bad news they fling at us, no wonder we're all exhausted, emotional and afraid. Thinking of Mark, you and your family. Hope he's able to fight it off and feel better soon.
