I did this a while ago and I
I did this a while ago and I highly recommend it. I was accepted into the "Young Women with Breast Cancer Study" because I was 33 when I was initially diagnosed (24 years ago). All I had to do was ask a lab to send the blood. My lab did it for free, but the study will reimburse the lab if not. It felt so good to be a part of research that might help someone one day. -

I signed up several months ago .. went thru preminlary screening, now awaiting to see what trial I qualify for.
Wonderful organization.

I marked the end of my treatment in December 2009 by signing up for the Army of Women (I didn't feel up to participating while I was going through treatment).
I've been able to participate in one of their studies, a beta-test of new online National Cancer Institute informational materials for breast cancer survivors post-treatment. It was fun! I was able to play around with a fun and informative website for about a year whenever I wanted, and did 2 phone surveys to let them know about my experiences and recovery.
I think I remember that MyTurnNow was in the same study.
