Amazing fortune cookie after mastectomy !

Ok I am truly not making this up, it's a true story. I'm sitting in the hospital the evening of my mastectomy and my husband brings me Chinese food. At the end of the meal I open the fortune cookie and read it. It says "turn your scars into stars!" I've kept it to remind myself of the many amazing messages I keep receiving in this journey!

    Thank you so much for
Thank you so much for letting us hear you cookie fortune. One of my occupational therapists is trying to use relaxing techniques with me to combat the severe pain and nerve damage I have from my BMX w/ SNB and AND last January 2011. I think I will use that with my deep breathing when I feel stressed or pain... My scars are stars... Like on really beautiful night out in northern WI at a campground we go to where there are no city lights to interfere with the naturally lights from the stars. Thank you so much!!!!

    SAVE IT!
And every time you feel down, just look at it and read it again.

I too had a fortune cookie that came to me just when I was feeling awful. I have it in my wallet. When I feel down or sad, I read it. :)

    You got a good one!

    WOW! How cool
Our now reitred minister used to always say that there are no such things as coinsidence (sp?). Anyway, I have a good one taped to my computer monitor, "Change is happening in your life, so go with the flow!" It actually came before I started my BD journey. Who knew?!
