and doctors can argue that it is the first step in diagnosis and leads them to biopsy or gives them cause to go there. The reality is that a FNA is somewhat useless but we seem to all suffer through it. Perhaps insurance companies would save money dispensing with the FNA and going right to biopsy rather than looking for reasons not to cover something. Yet another discussion.0
