Thank you Sonia
Thank you Sonia- you're so sweet for posting this!
Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes. I just turned 45. It's another milestone in the face of cancer- each birthday is another milestone of beating the odds. As my lisa42 name suggests, I was 42-1/2 when I first started coming on CSN- had just turned 41 when I was diagnosed as stage IV. This coming August 7th will mark four years since my diagnosis. I plan on being around many more years!!
I went shopping yesterday and picked out one of those new tablets. After comparing them all, I ended up getting the Asus brand. I hadn't heard of it before, but it seems to be getting good reviews and it was $100 cheaper than the others (it was $399). So, this technically challenged girl is trying to have fun and not get too frustrated in trying to figure out how to use it! Putting the protective plastic screen cover on was frustration in itself, lol! I had a nice family party with relatives and friends already Saturday night- a barbeque at our house. I had a very nice time. My immediate family of five will go out to dinner somewhere tonight after my husband gets home from work.
Anything to relax and not think about cancer for a while.
Hope you all have a good day, yourself

Hi Craig,
Thanks! I'm actually turning 45 not 44, lol. These days I embrace getting another year older. Every birthday is another one I'm beating the odds. I already had my party on Saturday & my sister in law literally put 45 candles on the cake. Thought there'd be a fire or that my smoke alarm would go off (but it didn't)
And, YES- I blew out ALL the candles at once!
Hope you have a great 50th in a couple weeks- that's a real milestone to celebrate! -
