Here's to the Germans....and the Dutch! My new travel adventure begins...
We had no choice, we started to climb (step up, pull the case, step up, pull the case). We had just finished a 10 1/2 hour flight, and were tired (step up, pull the case, step up, pull the case). It was then that the human kindness kicked in....there was a gal who we let by (step up, pull the case, step up, pull the case) that once she got to the top with her bag, she came back down and took my beau's cases, one at a time to the top!! And another man who did the same for me! How grand that was!!!
Then, as we toiled to put our cases on the rack above, another man helped. And then, in The Netherlands, we got help with getting them down!!! So, all told, we had much help, and turned a potential disaster into an interesting memory....
We are now home, unpacked, and enjoying life. It rained here, so much better than the 105F temps we left!
More later.....hugs, Kathi

Trains and Luggage
It is the only problem with traveling by train. We had a couple of instances where we had to get to an elevated or underground platform, with no escalator. Many times though some kind soul came to our rescue.

Wish we were there, Holland was truly wonderful!
But the trains are so efficient, and clean in most parts of Europe (Italy is the only place I found 'tired' train cars with no air conditioning). But the travelers, for the most part, are very friendly and helpful....
I, too, love my 'other' country!!! And the eating is sooo much different!!! Market is tomorrow (Friday). There we will buy our fish, fruits and vegies, bread and meat for the next week....
Life is truly grand!
