Thanks for the infofisrpotpe said:not happening
I heard from John today and they have insurance conflict so the pet scan was delayed, no date scheduled yet.
The extended waiting game continues. :-(
What a pain for John. At least he is doing well and hopefully things will be fine when he does have the PET.

Like John mentioned....
I think the mess came because my Chemo MD sent in a request for the PET to be scheduled in August. A few weeks ago, my ENT scheduled me for July 6th....
So between two different MD's scheduling the same expensive test and on close but different dates. I think it confused the insurance company and they had it pending.
So when my ENT gets back from vacation on the 12th, I'm going to see if he'll reschedule his.... I don't think I'll have a problem and will keep you posted.
I did have the opportunity to have a CT, but elected to wait in hopes of getting the PET instead.
Thanks for all of your thoughts, prayers and well wishes...

Have you ever had a PET/CT combo scan? That's what my doc had me go thru after a couple of years.0 -

Funny you should mention that....here's my catch from Saturday July 2nd.....
Bucket of Flounder
Flounder Pounder
The flounder hole has been especially productive this summer...well actually it's about a five mile strip between two parallel bridges in Upper Tampa Bay.
These ranged between 13" - 17".....

Tell the truth John. You rescheduled because the fish were biting. It's ok to blame it on your docs though.

What a bother. My insurance company declined my November PET. AT FIRST. They OK'd a CT only. for me, when the CT came back "dirty", THEN they OK'd the PET. For my checks, my doc likes to do a CT AND PET. But I have to wait much longer for a PET to be OK'd than a CT. Ah well - we'll just have to wait a while for the good news.0 -

BUT, down here in Mexico in the Sea of Cortez the Dorado (aka MahiMahi) are everywhere. Not too big though but very easy to come in with 20-30 fish in the 10-15 pound class. A real hoot.........and fantastic canned, smoked, grilled, fried, you name it.
OK..........gotta go................catch some more. JK0
