Yes, it is real....hopefully it gets better with time. I went to a lecture on this at our local Gilda's Club. I'm 15 mos. out from stem cell transplant...after 9 mos. of intensive chemotherapy. I'm happy to say that the fog is starting to lift. Good luck!

    Hi
Two years from my last chemo. Chemo brain, blonde brain or old brain. I think it is mostly chemo brain especially when I am tired.

    Brady,
Believe it..Chemo brain is very real. Short term memory seems the most affected. It is aggravating when you can't remember things. If the memory ever fully returns,I don't know. Still have times when I think I have remnants of it. Been out of R-CVP since Sept.2010.
Joanie,Yes I have noticed most blondes refer to it as Chemo Brain.LOL John

    Brady,

It's real. The last issue of CURE magazine had it as its' cover story. I think that you can get it on line.

    I feel blonde sometimes
I'm 3 months out of a stem cell transplant with intensive chemo and I definately have chemo brain! My short term memory since getting out of the hospital is horrible. My phone's memo pad has become my savior, because if I didnt write everything down, I wont remember it.

    Dear Cortney,

You might have chemo brain, but you sure look good to me. Who's that
handsome guy in the picture? You sure make a great couple, hair or no
    hair. You two look great.

I am 11 years Cancer free and I still stuggle with this everyday. In fact, the reason for me joining the network was to look for causes, length of time til recovery, or anything else I can get my hands on explain why this seems to be getting worse.
