the type of test does not indicate the level of concern. it is how they can best view what they want to see. different tests show different things. I hope they figure out soon what is causing this. HUgs hugs hugs
I always get bladder infections.Last July it showed blood in urine but no infection. That test showed the same thing 2 times so my family doctor said for me to see a urologist.I did. Then it was a infection.Took meds.Went back and no infection but blood in urine. I had a test on my bladder and a KUB on my kidneys.I had 8 kidney stones(was never told) the year before but down to 4 after all these tests. Not good but an improvement.
Not sure your age but it is commonn for women to have some bleeding and also to get kidney cysts. Cysts can develop after the age of 60 in men and women. Also my friend and her sister have blood in urine and nothing has ever been found. My urologist said that does happen alot too.No cause.
Hope things turn out good for you. There could be many reasons for your UTI's.My friend gets them all the time and was on meds for 3 months. She is a bc survivor of 16 years.

It is very possible
Lizzie,
It is very possible that a CT scan can better visualize the area. I had urinary bleeding a year after my uterine cancer and repeated UTIs. They thought that it was probably irritation from the pelvic radiation. One doctor wanted to wait and see if it resolved. My nurse practitioner pushed for an IVP (a test that shows kidney, ureter and bladder) and it showed a small mass. It was bladder cancer. That was in 2002. There are many causes for repeated UTIs, urinary bleeding etc. Chemo can irritate the bladder and this can continue after treatment has ended. But the bottom line is if you have urinary bleeding, repeated UTIs etc you need to have it evaluated. I think that your doctor is most likely being very proactive after your breast cancer and I say that is really good. I am glad that my NP got my test done quickly. Good thoughts are coming your way that this is easily resolved.

for the info and good thoughts. And, yes I like the fact that it seems my urologist is being very proactive, and I am glad. I for the CT on Wednesday, so I will post an update when I know one.
Weird, but I had no fever for 3 days, and now it is back. At this point, who knows why.
Happy 4th of July, though!!
