AWESOME! Info on warts and HPVdenistd said:skin flap
Just got the biopsy report of the thing in my mouth, came back negative, papilloma
Skin warts and potentially HPV-caused cancers are two totally seperate things. There are over 120 different types of Human Papiloma Viruses. The ones to worry about are Types 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, and 59.
Common skin warts are Types 2 & 7
Plantar and foot warts are Types 1, 2, 4 & 63
Oral warts are Types 6, 7, 11, 16, 32
So warts in your mouth that are biopsied and not the types in the first group won't most likely cause cancers. The actual connection between HPV and head & neck cancer is still just a THEORY. It hasn't been proven yet. It'snot like cervical cancer which has been proven can be caused by HPV 16 & 18.
So warts on your kid's hands doesn't likely indicate a future risk of cancer.
