Hope everyone has a joyous holiday, we will be celebrating our grand daughter's 4th birthday at a bbq on Sunday and going to a ballgame, complete with fireworks on the 4th. Think I will sleep all day on the 5th. God Bless you all.0 -

Well, a year ago in early July is when I had my first symptoms of OVCA--the date of the ultrasound is 7/11/10 and my surgery was in August, 2010.
So, I will be celebrating being ALIVE for one year after being hit with cancer...not exactly a one-year remission but a survival anniversary for me nonetheless.
Happy holiday to all the Americans and happy life/survival to everyone else on board!
Yay for all of us!

LQ, I was just about exactly a year ahead of you. Although my symptoms started in April of 2009, the cursed CT scan that showed the cancer was on July 17th, 2009. So, this time two years ago, although I felt like crap, I was still dwelling in ignorant bliss.0 -

I'm currently battling round 2, and I'm thrilled to be able to celebrate the fourth of July! I have high hopes that this time next year will find me in total remission for many years to come!
Sending Happy, Healing thoughts and Prayers to all of our sisters!
Hugs!

I looked up independence in the dictionary (ok I'm a word nerd). It says in part; freedom from control or influence. So I definately wish us all independence from cancer. Have a great day, eat hearty and healthfully and enjoy the simple pleasure of good old American holiday.
