Please pray for my dad
I want to thank you all for your advice and support. I don't post much, but I read everything. My dad had MIE on Friday and is now back in the OR for emergency surgery as his stomach has become diseased. Please pray for him.

I know that we have been PMing back and forth, but again, I will be praying for you and your family.

Your father and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you deal with this complication. When my husband was in ICU a few months ago (sepsis), my 11-year-old said to me, "Mom, we all have bumps in the road; we just have to figure out how to get around them." I pray that your dad gets around this bump quickly.0 -

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! The surgical team figured out what was causing the complications and the surgeon said "you must have had a lot of people praying for him!" He's still very critical and is having a hard time regaining lung functioning so we're continuing to pray that he pulls through this fight. The next few hours are critical.0 -

Yes - Dr. L worked his surgical magic again and found the cause of the complications. However, my dad is in a very critical condition right now. His lungs got very banged up and he was in septic shock. The surgical team and intensivist tried many methods of revival with limited success. Therefore, my dad has been put on an ecmo machine. Has that happened to anyone else reading out there? Some success stories would help lift our spirits as it is very dark here right now.

My husband was
PaTreatment,
My husband was on a heart-lung machine for his heart surgery, but not the ECMO. I've heard of it (used for premature babies a lot), but not seen it in action. The technology of the machine and that it should give your dad's lungs a chance to heal is encouraging. It may be dark, but knowing that your dad is getting some of the latest treatment options and technology hopefully will help to keep your spirits up. Hang in there.

Patreatment... My dad was on a ECMO machine and it did help But they had to take him off of it quickly only because of it breathing so heavily and it was going to cause problems with the surgery that they did prior to placing him on that. My dad did pass away from ARDS since his lung were shot since he had an infection that they didnt look into for 20days.
They ECMO Machine will work and help clear it up a bit.
Good luck and god bless
