did i really have crc? was the last year just a nightmare?
So much so I have almost thought the last year did not happen.
Did I post all the posts, have all the juices, try all the supplements?do the ops, take he folfox express?
Well I know I did.got $700 suplements here on the shelf, taking them morning and night.my fingers and feeet are still numb.almost fell off a track today, my balance is shot as we'll.
Been exploring villagers, walking, snorkelling, eating great seafood.
I can see myself living a healthy normal life again, something like a dream.
My wife needed this break more than me,she is getting a facial tomorrow and I will
Finish getting my dive gear ready.
Started photography again, its been pretty dormant this last year.
Just hugs to everyone,
Pete

Nature puts Life in Perspective
Pete,
Nature - Feeling nature through the sun, water, wildlife, and flora with family. Living with cancer means learning to put cancer in perspective and not let it absorb your life. You are getting back the zest for life. You are living your authentic life. Take pictures and enjoy.

Maybe we learn the zest for survival from cancer, as we get healthy again we get the zest for life back again.
Believe it or not herbal medicine talk on 3.30pm today by old native fijian.
Take it easy and be healthy in the real world, not sure which of these worlds is the real world anymore .

is in Fiji as we speak. He did the last 3 weeks helping work on a farm there, and the next 3 weeks will be spent scuba diving with a group. Small world.
Enjoy your trip.

Enjoy your vacation, I am sure it is much needed by everyone. We just had our first fun vacation since the diagnosis/surgery/treatment etc.. Really makes you feel wonderful. Sometimes I look back and it all seems like a nightmare. but it was real. Lets focus on life and celebrate life with our loved ones.. It is definitely too short and we don't know what our next obstacle will be. Have a great time.. Petrina0 -

Hi Pete,
I just posted today on this site for the first time. Your story is a very inspirational one. I am trying to stay very positive but have gone into a deep depression after finding out that I have colon cancer. Stories like yours really helps!0 -

Hi petrina,
I agree let's love our families.
And tomorrow I will enjoy when it arrives.

I catch myself
saying, "Now... WHAT was it that I was afraid of again???".. of course, the answer always comes, "OH.. yeah.. CANCER".
But, Pete, like you, I find more and more "forgetful" spells where I just kick back and can enjoy LIFE again. I think THAT is one of the very best parts of the healing process
Glad you're having a wonderful vacation Pete. God Bless0 -

Northern, WELCOME.
If you were just recently diagnosed, right now you're having it rough emotionally. Rest assured you are NOT alone, as we have ALL been there. Bring your concerns, worries and questions to our little corner of the web and draw from the experiences of others and our combined strength. Anything we can do to help, you just say the word0 -

Anyone will tell you that keeping a positive attitude makes the days better and can even effect your health. So I hope you find a way to alleviate your depression. There are many strong emotions that can overwhelm us after diagnosis, during treatment and throughout recovery...stay with us here, as whatever you're going through you'll find many here who have been or are dealing with it too
I was diagnosed with stage4 cancer Feb/2011 and started chemo right away. So far, my cancer is inoperable. I have had many bad days because of cancer but I don't let it keep me down long. I went camping for three days to celebrate Spring Equinox, spent two three-day weekends camping and participating in a Renaissance Faire and just got back from a three-day weekend camping with friends for Summer Solstice. In between camping, I've gone to an art day gallery stroll, I paint with a friend once per week, take walks often and played tennis once so far this summer.....life is good in spite of adversities!
Live well,
Janine
