my 2nd round of chemo of carbo/taxol. Had 18 weeks of treatment, taxol weekly and carbo with taxol every 3 weeks. I did ok through treatment except my last 3 treatments of carbo I had a allergic reaction, so my last carbo was given in the hospital to give to me slowly, it took about 10 hours. My CT Scan showed no sign of disease (yeah!!) except the radiologist noticed a blood clot on my lung and I had to go back the same day for CT Scan of my chest which showed several blood clots, so I had 2 weeks of lovenox shots twice a day plus taking coumadin. Shots are done, but still on coumadin with weekly blood test. Shortness of breath is gone, so I'm hoping the coumadin is working. I feel really good except for the numbness in my feet and minor leg pain. Keeping fingers crossed that I'll stay NED free this time longer than 6 months.
My next adventure will be fixing my hernia from surgery last year. Life is never boring when you've had cancer!!!

I too have a hernia and want to get it fixed but I am kinda afraid. Not sure why as with everything I have been through. So glad to hear you are done with tx and shots. They make your abdomen black and blue. Enjoy your summer now and have some much needed fun...val
