Hanging Tough
I hope you're snoozing while I'm typing. Sorry the docs didn't leave you feeling more secure. It's understandable you're feeling the strain. I was often stressed during treatment, and I was making visible progress, and tolerating treatment well, and was surrounded by optimistic, supportive medical personnel. I wish his ENT would go into detail about "too high a rish for surgery". Hopefully the next cancer doc you all see will have a different opinion, or at least give you more info, and help you be active in the struggle. Do you have any family nearby? An in-person support system? You know, when people ask what they can do to help, only some of them are hoping you'll say "No". Many times, when someone says that, they will feel better if you let them help. I hope you can find a way to re-energize. Today's nap (assuming you got it) is a great thing. You don't need me to tell you (but I will anyway - I'm like that) that you'll be best able to take care of him if you take care of yourself.0 -

It’s not easy being a caregiver as your going through your husband cancer is the same as him. I am sorry because when I read stuff like this I too remember not always being very kind to my caregiver and now I realized just how much I needed her and could not have done it without her at my side. I am not sure where you are doing your treatment at but I agree on looking a second opinion. Hope you get the rest you need.
Take care

Sue I am so sorry about your situation. I too am a caregiver..my mother is a cancer patient who has had a recurrence after completing surgery and radiation just 8 months ago.
They are seeing if she can have surgery because of her age...that is the only option because we were told today that chemo doesn't work at all with this type of cancer. We were told by a first doctor that she can have it, so get a 2nd or 3rd opinion.
Where are you guys being treated?
If you need a friend to talk to in a similar situation please email me at gcooper242@yahoo.com.
I'll be praying for you both.0
