    Hey Fran I cannot imagine how tired you must be after a year of chemo. Hopefully you are feeling better every day!

    Hi guys - how very nice you've noticed I haven't been on the site - thank you and love you for missing me!
    Sorry - it's been about a month - actually feel like a human being again with high energy and making up for a year of lost time! Haven't left the state of FL yet but all 3 adult children have been down visiting with the Grans and it's been wonderful and a bit exhausting! We splurged for two visits to the Ritz in Orlando and a week at a resort on Daytona Beach. Headed to Sonesta Key near Sarsota in another week and being a tourist. Chemo ended April 14 and two months later I feel like my old self - it's wonderful! Hair even growing back short and curly - no wigs or scarves this summer - yeh! My white and red cell counts are low but I've decided during this "break" I've been given from treatment to try and ignore it and just have fun.

    The old tumor still looms and I see my Onc. July 12. He'd hoped all my bowel tests would be over then with a plan but as many of you state, there's a lot of waiting involved in the medical world. That won't happen until Aug. 4 and sometime after that I return to Moffitt to get their opinion. Meanwhile, I have lunches, dinners and movies scheduled with friends 5 days this week and just trying to forget about the Big C for awhile. It's so great being back to a life again, and I will love my Dr. Sprawls forever for his recognizing I needed a "break" from treatment for a few months. Thank you for caring - you're such a great support system. Read a few posts just now and John and Sue, you crack me up! NHL, Follicular, stage 4, Indolent, B cell. Love, Fran

    Go for the whole 9 yards. It would have been so great if we could have known how precious life is years ago wouldn't it. It takes something like the scary word to kick us in the butt and get us going. Try not to even worry about anything and just enjoy yourself. Worrying NEVER solved a darn thing. As Vinny always says,as many others as well,it is what it is and whats gonna be is gonna be. Enjoy it all and in 20 years from now you will look back at all this and say what a ride I had back then .John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)

    Fran it is so good to see you post . I had a feeling that you were surrounded by grandchildren. I am so glad you are on a break and just enjoying life. Have a wonderful time. We are leaving on the 12th of July for Alabama, N.C, CN. and Kennybunkport Maine. We will be gone about three weeks. God is good all the time. I feel so blessed I can go on vacation. I am having my last of 8 treatments of Rituxin on Thursday. I'll be thinking of you and smiling everytime I think of you enjoying your friends and family. Love ya Joanie

    Welcome back, and yes you were missed. Just reading your post is exhausting.
    You certainly sound like a new person, enjoying life with your loved ones.
    I was especially thrilled to read all the energy you have. How wonderful you

    Thanks John, Joanie and Maggie. Yes, it sometimes take such an illness as Lymphoma to make us appreciate life more and not take good health for granted. You're right, John - worrying NEVER solves a single thing but so very hard not to do so! Hubby and I are two of the biggest worrywarts but are working on not being that way.

    Didn't realize your Rituxan treatments were coming to an end, Joanie. WAY to go! I hope that drug will bring you a long, long remission. Enjoy your trips - sounds great!

You're right, John - worrying NEVER solves a single thing but so very hard not to do so! Hubby and I are two of the biggest worrywarts but are working on not being that way.

    Hi Fran,
    You look fantastic...healthy and full of happiness. I'm always so happy to read posts where our peeps are feeling good and getting on with living. You have a busy schedule and it's wonderful you feel good enough to get out there and enjoy life...'YEAH"! Now we just need to get Beth perked up and feeling good. It will come in time..I have faith! You and Vinny are great examples of how we can all bounce back. Have fun friend and enjoy your summer.

    No, not California, outside of New York City. About 20 miles or so, I think? lol

    I will be thinking of you July 12. I will not be posting too much, so very busy with
    the house, and my beach club. I will try and read the posts, and hopefully have time
    to reply. No matter, all of you are in my prayers. We are all fighting the cancer
    battle.
