Fast heart rate?

My sisters heart rate has been in the 140's since her surgery. It is supposed to be between 60-100. And, she has a fever of 101. They are doing blood cultures and a chest x-ray. Did any of you experience this after your surgery?

    Fast heart rate
I had a fast heart rate after I had my lung collapse in Dec. 2007. It was constantly beating fast until about 2 months ago when my doctor put me on a beta blocker. Now it is fine.

I am sure they will bring it down may with digoxin. Has your sis ever had any cardiac issues before surgery? Hope her fever comes down too. I had fever of 102 and found out I had collapsed lung so a chest tube was inserted. I hope your sis recover fast and is feeling well soon so her chemo can start....val
