I had reconstruction surgery on 4/4/2011 and about to have symetry done on right breast, port removed, and revisions to reconstruction. So tired of surgery and recuperating. Every time I start to feel a little better its time for surgery again. I havent been on site in months. Still trying to find whatever the new normal will be for me. Anyone having pain in legs from tamoxifen? If so what are you doing for relief?

    Welcome back
I actually decided to stop having surgeries even my plastic surgeon wanted to do more and more revisions. That was my choice 2 years ago supported by my husband and breast surgeon. Being healthy and finding a new normal is still ongoing process for me.
    Wishing you the best,

Tamoxifen! It is hard to say what affect tamoxifen is having on me. I already had an arthritic knee for which I am trying to buy time to a knee replacement. I can tell you that I have stiffening in my hands, feet and knee. The hands and feet I attribute to the tamoxifen. I have to admit the side effects of tamoxifen are more tolerable than the ones caused by arimidex. Hope that all is well. I go to my oncologist in July and will discuss side effects, long term and short term. I did not have the symmetry surgery yet. I didn't want to do any more surgery this year. Of course, the down side is having to recover all over again next year.

    Totally understand!
Just know, it'll take some time to find the "new" you. Yes, Tamoxifen can cause leg pain and cramps. If you feel up to it, walk. Try and walk every day. That gives me some relief. I hope you start feeling better.

    Hugs,
