I need to talk about weight fluctuation---New Flower come back plse. ? for ya
Last night we went out to eat for dinner, also had pumpkin cake, ice cream and a beer (which is rare). Wow, did I eat alot I was stuffed When I got home hours later, I got on the scale and it read 120 lbs. How can this be??! Any thoughts as to why this major fluctuation is happening. Is anyone else dealing with this, 7 months after chemo?
Before I was dx with BC I weight 145 lbs. I lost alot of weight with BC which for some is normal. Before I was dx. I saw that I was loosing weight...I thought to myself why am I loosing so much weight. I have never been on a diet in my life, never had weight issues. I am 5'6". As I said my hubby is alittle concerned and I am also. So I hope some sisters can share your weight experience with me especially if it's similiar to what I am dealing with. THANK YOU always for your input...sorry if I am going on but I am just alittle concerned. I just want to add that during chemo I did stay at 130.
Hugs,
Annette

Don't know how much help I
Don't know how much help I can be. I have always had a weight problem. I can gain or lose 5-10 over night. Mostly it is water. From the radiation and Arimedex, I got arthrtis. (sp). So I get very swollen and that is part of it. Besides I have a water problem to start with. Can't have any salt in the summer. Your weight maybe from water retention. Hope someone can be more help to you.

We bought home balance
My weigh was fluctuated between 120 and 128 without any reason, so we bought balance and I did it weekly at home. I also calculated calories on daily basis for a week and found that I did not eat enough in the morning. As a result I added protein to my breakfast and it did help to stabilize my weight. Everyone has a different metabolism, if you are a very active person, it does not mean that you ate too much once and will gain weight.
Good luck0 -

You have the same weight as I do. What is Balance and do you take it once a week??
What kind of protein are you adding in the morning??
Thank you this is helpful.

Annette I hope it will be useful for others too. Regardless gaining or loosing it could be useful system
My balance is Tanita, was manufactured in Japan (it could be any brand). I did it weekly on the same day at the same time, no clothes naked. I wrote it down and looked for changes and my lifestyle.
Protein : egg, cottage cheese or yogurt. Since I cannot eat too much in the morning I had light breakfast:banana & oat meal or cereal , no sugar, honey, 10g butter, 1/5 glass of milk) +350 cal at 8:00AM ; snack - 10:30 :one of the following egg, cottage cheese or yogurt and apple - to achieve total of 200 cal. Eating 4 times a day helped to stabilize my weigh at 126.
Good luck. Please let us know if it helps.
