 is that a run or a walkHissy_Fitz said:Val....I did the NOCC 5K
Val....I did the NOCC 5K last Sept and will do it again this year, God willing. It was super empowering.
One of the quilt squares I am working on has a high heel applique - very chic!

that is great you did this!! Ir is empowering to do something that may someday raise money for a cure. Your square sounds so cute..can't wait to see it when it is done. The stiletto heel shows the back of a black heel with a teal ribbon on it. Let us know how your 5k goes.......val

What city are you in? I am going to see if I can Google up an image of the stiletto with the OC ribbon. I have a survivor ribbon applique pattern. Maybe I can tie the two together.

PS....it was a run, for people who wanted to do the chip thing and have their time recorded. Or you could walk. We had one of the Mavs there last year, pusing a stroller. It would be so cool if they waould all turn out this Sept but they are probably too "big" since winning the championship.

            Way to go
Way to go Val. As far as the high heels, those days are long gone for me. Use to wear them every day...but no more. The younger ones can carry on the tradition but as far as me... I will sit and cheer them on.
Did you get a picture of you in the relay. You should post it if you did.

            Good goin'!
The Relay For Life is a big accomplishment - congrats! I did it too, on May 14, in Boca Raton, FL. We got rained out and everyone was sent home at 11 p.m. because of lightning. But I'll definitely do it again next year. If I could find an event just for OVCA anywhere near me I would definitely do it.
On another note, I finished my six cycles of taxol/carbo on June 6 and on Monday I go for the dreaded PET scan. I'm a nervous wreck.
