Areola tattoo

Busy last two days. Last Herceptin infusion was yesterday. This morning I got my areola tattoo. My plastic surgeon did my nipple the same time that she did my exchange surgery back in December. I wanted to wait for the tattoo to make sure that my nip didn't flatten out. I haven't seen it yet because it's covered up, my hubby said that it looks good, so that's all that matters. It didn't hurt at all while she was doing it, however, it is a little sore now. Next up, port removal in the next few weeks.

    Hi Jean
    I had my double mastectomy two weeks ago and I will have my tatoos too ;)) I saw some pictures at doctor's office and they looked good, I hope yours do too and when time is right I'll have mine ;)) Glad to hear you are doing well...

    Your New Tattoo
    Hi Jean and congratulations on your new tattoo. I had my tissue expander exchange surgery done on Monday and a breast reduction done on the other side. When I am all healed up (couple of months?) I will also be getting an areola tattoo and a new nipple. Glad to hear your procedure went well. Gives me courage.

    I can imagine that you are a little sore today - I was holding my breath when I read your post - yikes! But then, I am such a wimp!!! And you are amazing!!! I hope the next few weeks pass quickly so that your deportation date will be here.

    Good for you, Jean .. I've been debating about
    nipples for some time.. I have decided to go for it!!! Surgery is scheduled for September .. Yeah!

    If your hubby is happy and say it looks, great .. I am sure you will be pleased. Ahhhh, getting back to normal -- sure is nice.

    Hello Jean, congratulations on being chemo-free. I've mostly been away or lying in bed moaning in pain, so that's why you haven't seen me on here.I get my port removed on Tues. and reconstruction is slated for the end of July! What tat did u get? I want to get little hummingbirds! My husband thinks I am crazy! I hope all is well with you. Feel free to contact me any time through Facebook.
