Good Report on EC via CT Scan
I have just returned from a long day at UVA and have mostly good news. I have 4 in a row clean CTscans. NO disease progression found and the three nodes in my lungs are stagnat and have been for 15 months. I am now on a three week holiday from chemo so that I can enjoy a trip to South Florida. I have just completed my 18th Xeloda cycle since January 3rd of this year. There is some narrowing of the Esophageal wall and I am having some minor trouble getting some foods down. When I return from this trip, I will be evaluated by Digestive Health and will probably have a stretch or a stint depending on their recommendation. William, I know you have had several stretches, is that a difficult procedure? I feel so blessed to have a strong support network as well as the connection with this group. We must all hang together and support each other in any way we can. Sam

Great News!
You probably think I'm stalking you, I've been following your posts so closely! Will you resume the Xeloda after your break, or start something new? I'm just finishing up my 11th week and the side effects are not debilitating, but they are wearing me out. My son is visiting from Chicago next week and I'm thinking of asking for a 2-week break from chemo while he's here.
Keep up the good work, and enjoy your trip to Florida.

Stalk all you want. At my age a good stalking is good for my ego!!! I resume Xeloda on July 5th. It's working for me so I see no need to change right now. My tumor count is up a little 3.4 but under the thresh hold of 5. Once we get above 5 then will need to look at something I suspect. Like you, I have learned to live one hour at the time. Enjoy your visit with your son. HAve you needd a stretch or stint as of yet? Sam0
