Pain...
Hi there.
What kind of surgery did you have? A lumpectomy or mastectomy? Any reconstruction?
I had a lumpectomy with axillary lymph node removal in October last year and ended up having a mastectomy on June 1st. I did not have pain like you're describing. I recall the pain from my lumpectomy and node removal being worse than the mastectomy pain, but withing a month I was fine.
I would recommend that you speak with your doctor and get checked.
Keep us posted on how you're doing. -

I was fortunate -- I didn't have pain (I did develop a seratoma at the sentinel node biopsy site, but no pain.). Have you been hurting all along or is this a new isolated pain incident? Maybe a call to the doctor might be reassuring.
Good luck.

I had a lumpectomy, tumor 2.7 cm. Then mammosite radiation for 5 days twice a day. The pain seems to come and go in the area the mammosite was in. I think it is worse when I don't think and carry a heavy item such as groceries in the house if I am by myself. It is better today. Will call dr. if it gets worse, thanks for your input
