No statistics on that but...
I can tell you that there is a 100% chance of spread without surgery! RCC always progresses and if the tumor is not removed, metastasis is a guarantee. Most begin as tumor thrombuses and can stop your heart if they grow far enough. Once the tumor is large enough, it then starts to invade other organs nearby. This is a hideous disease and removing it where it can be removed is important to survival short and long term.
