Does the HPV cause cervical cancer??
I was just wondering.
I don't know what to look for if I should ever get cancer. I have had one cyst at a time all at least 5 cm but went away on its own. I have had one to burst on me and I think that was 6 cm. I have pain almost all of the time and it is worse during my menstral cycle. I have signed for as many as 7 different procedures for one surgery. The doctor removed my tubes because of adhensions (scar tissue) and I had them all over my abdomen. I have been diagnosed with severe cramping and a couple of other things. Sometimes I can't even tell I have a cyst till I start cramping bad and/or the doctor finds them by a transvaginal ultrasound. I also have a very small fibroid on my uterus. He gave me the option of a hysterectomy, but I did not take it. When I asked him about it, he did not recall that he left the choice up to me. I also have pain up inside like my body remembers me giving childbirth. I have scar tissue also where my cervix is because the doctor took a laser to my cervix because of lesions on it.
I know this is not the place to discuss Ovarian Cancer. My mom had a cousin who died of ovarian cancer and now my mom has been diagnosed with it at stage 4. I diffinitely know I would rather take my chances with a different type of cancer other than Ovarian Cancer if I would ever develop cancer. My great aunt had breast cancer and recently faced a threat of colon cancer. My great uncle died of colon cancer as well. I am sure there are others in my family like cousins who died of cancer, but not sure how close the relation or how far back in my family. Any thoughts or comments would be great. Thanks.
