Momma is still in the hospital

in Lung Cancer #1
My mom has stage 4 lung cancer with mets to the brain and now mets to the bone. She just had knee surgery because she contracted a staph infection. They cleaned all that out and she is healing. She is also having excruciating pain in her shoulder and arm on the right side. So they did a whole bunch of tests and found a tumor in her bone and she has also fractured her arm. So they are waiting for her to heal from the knee and they will do surgery on her arm. They will take out as much of the tumor as they can and will be putting a steel rod in her arm as well to stabilize it from further fracturing. If they cannot get all of the tumor out then she will be having more radiation to the site of the tumor. She had just started her 2nd line treatment of Alimta/Carboplatin and now this. So her onco is putting all of that on hold for now. Please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers.

    Stay positive she'll get the surgery and get back on track with the treatment.
    My Mom has stage4 NSCLC lung,brain, spine & pelvis (carbo/alimta) did great with Mom so try to keep your head up I know its so hard and she just ran into a hiccup right now and once the hiccup stops she will get back on track.
