Still NED

I'm almost 14 months out and my Doctor says everything looks great. I was diagnosed with SCC unknown primary with 1 lymph node testing positive.
I had a left neck dissection with tonsillectomy and everything came back negative except for the one lymph node which had clean margins.
The decision was made to not do radiation or chemo and I struggled with that decision at first but I put my trust in the Lord and in my team.
The thought was that I'd go to my exams and my primary would eventually be found and then we'd attack it accordingly. Now, almost 14 months later my doctor doesn't expect that anything will be found as primaries are usually found in the first year. He went on to say that at two years he'll consider me cured even though 5 years is the official cure point.
I have been very fortunate to have not had to go down that hellish road that so many of you have and I am very thankful.

Very similar Dx (other than the tonsils were the primary, lymphnode was the secondary), although for the Rx I had the full monty....
Very similar comments from my ENT on the two year mark, hoping he's right, everything else he's been pretty much right on target.
Best,
John
