Thanks friends.

Actually, yes
Reiki is offered on a donation basis once a month at my yoga place. My daughter in law and I went, she with a complicated pregnancy, and me just before my lumpectomy surgery. It was a very nice feeling experience and I was told she felt unusual energy on my left side which was the side that had cancer (she didn't know anything about that). I went on to have a successful surgery and good pathology report and my daughter in law's plasma counts rose (that was the complication). We went the next month after my surgery and again had a good experience and this time I was told I had strong positive energy coming from my left upper body -- they still didn't know anything.
Now that you bring it up, I should go back:)
Try it. It's VERY relaxing.

Hi Renee!!!!
A few months ago I went up to our local hospital for a Reiki Therapy session. I had no idea what to expect and was kind of tense. By the time I settled myself the session was almost over. I've wanted to schedule another session, but have never gotten around to it.
Hope you are doing well.

REIKI is great relaxing "treatment", to calm your body & mind. I start "using" Reiki when my father passed away as "my way" how to deal with grievance & lost.
I was so much satisfied how positive impact Reiky had on me that I actually took courses (level I & II) and I will use Reiky on daily basis to calm me down.
Very little people around me even know that I am certified as I am not advertise it.
I was quite surprised that Reiki was also offered at Wellspring (charitable organization for Cancer patience) and I did have 2 session just prior my operation.
I would stronly recomend at least try it.0 -

I will definitely look into finding a Reiki practitioner and trying it. Anything that would be calming for the mind, body and spirit is something I'm definitely willing to look into.
I'll let you all know what I think.

I have heard stories from ladies at our survivor meetings RAVING about Reiki. Now that I'm back on the cancer bus, I am definitely going to have as many sessions as they let me at our hospital. They offer it free to us!!
When I went through this before, I had regular acupuncture and massage, and I felt it helped me greatly to relax and get through the treatments easier.0 -
I am a Reiki Master which means that I have had all three attunements and can teach reiki.sbmly53 said:We have a pink sister
who goes by Reikigirl. Is it because she practices it? I can't remember. I'm sure she could answer some questions.
Sue
I had my cancer in 2009 - 2010 and I had 3 people sending me distant reiki and was on many reiki prayer groups lists to be sent to and prayed for. I am now cancer free and know that the reiki had something to do with it, even though I did choose traditional medication (chemo) as my main treatment modality.
It is so relaxing that most people fall asleep during a treatment. By scanning the body with our hands, we can feel where their is discord and then work more intently on that area.
I would recommend it to everyone to try. It is a great stress reducer.
If you have any question, feel free to private message me or just ask me on this thread and I'll be glad to fill in the blanks.
Love and Light,
