insurance approval

Hello, my doctor said I needed to have another biobsy done on my lymphnodes and a pet scan done, however it has been 3 days and still no appt. they said I have to wait for the insurance company. Is this normal? and how long does approvals usually take?

    Have you tried calling your insurance company directly to find out when the approval will come? The number is usually on the back of the insurance card. That would be the fastest way to find out.
