Question about mets to spine

Thanks for your replies. Do you remember what mg of dexamethazone he had? Steve had some perscribed way back when first diagnosed for appetite. When the back pain started, I put him back on it (even before we knew it was cancer again). Hes been back on for close to two weeks now, I think. I have noticed a slight increase in appetite. It is only 1mg twice a day. Doesnt do much for the back tho. I'm wondering if the dose is to low. Steve has three areas on spine and one rib.

My husband also has met s to the spine. At first he was on hydrocodone for the pain. As it got worse we consulted with a pain management doctor at MDAnderson and they prescribed a fentanyl patch. After some adjustment, he has settled into a 75mg patch that we change every 72 hours. Occasionally he will have some break through pain and then he will take a small dose of hydrocodone. With his last ct scan we were given the news that most of the bone mets had been resolved. We pray that it continues that way.
