Has anyone had RT & chemo tx for acinic cell CA of the parotid gland ?

    My husband had RT &
    My husband had RT & cisplatin after sx for acinic cell CA in the parotid gland & lymph
    nodes. SX involved total parotectomy & resec of all lymph tissue. One onc md is suggesting further chemo for "insurance". Anybody had a similar experience ?

    parotid cancer meta lymph + ear + earbone
    My husband had surgery followed by radiation and chemo: carboplatin & taxol.

    thanks for your reply. I'm trying to find info/opinions for post chemo after the 35 week RT/chemo protocol. How is your husband doing...well, I hope. Was your husband advised to have additional chemo for "insurance"
