I am getting ready to fight my 3rd battle with this awful disease that just snuck up on me again when my ca125 was 22 almost 2 months ago and now I have ascites and a golfball side tumor in my left side. I am very scared and hope the new clinical trial they put me on will work. One of the drugs will be cytoxan I think along with another drug specifically for brac1 positive ovc. They say it has a good response and I pray it works for me. I am in pain, cant eat much and I am very fatigued. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days and had tests and lots of bloodwork. wishing everyone well. will let you know more later.

Question about your treatment and trial
Hi, Am so sorry you're fighting your 3rd battle. I'm also fighting my 3rd. Could you please let me know what stage you are and where you are getting the trial and how many prior chemos you've had. The reason why I'm asking is I recently had a discussion with my oncologist about a trial and he more or less told me because I've had prior chemo I wasn't eligible (even though I read the exclusion requirements and I didn't see where it said that). I mean, why would a person want to go on a trial, if standard chemo was working. Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could let me know this information. I think I know the trial you're going on and my gyn/onc told me a few months ago it is a good one. I am sorry you're in so much pain. I know what that feels like because I experienced pain also and I am also fatigued. Anyway, I wish you luck and any info you can give me will be appreciated.

I'm sorry you are fighting again
Stay strong , you knocked it down before and you will do it again. I see my future in your and many others posts about reoccurances and I hope I can face them with your stregnth. Why are you in pain? That is one thing they can deal with and should. Shopping Kharma fought long and hard and I believe she was successful as long as she was because she made sure she had something to control the pain.
Sorry but pain control is a pet peeve of mine I have chronic pain seperate from ovca and I just hate to hear that someone is in pain !
Good Luck !

Hello Donna
Sorry to hear you are in pain. I never realised they can talyor treatment for people who are BRCA +. I am BRCA 2+ so I will remember this next time I need treatment. Just rest up and take it easy, listen to your body as it knows what it needs to fight and get better. Wishing you all the best & keep us posted.
