Yes..
It goes along with Taxotere....but goes away when chemo is over...plus the lack of eyelashes makes it worse...mine watered for the duration of Taxotere/ Cytoxan...my nose ran like crazy, which is caused by the watery eyes.... as your eyes drain into the lacrimal ducts..tear ducts...plus the loss of nose hair...some on this board have said they used some type of eye drops...I didn't....
Wishing you the best..and remember it will go away...0 -
watery eyes
yes I noticed my eyes "watering" to the point of big tears rolling down my face especially in the morning when i first awaken. I didn't realize it was from the taxotere! When i yawn i now expect a waterfall and runny nose. I didn't lose my eyelashes, is that in the future? Tomorrow i receive my third chemo of taxotere/cytoxan.0 -
It DOESN'T always stop
Ah yes, the Taxotere eyes. I had 4 rounds of A/C followed by 12 rounds of Taxotere. My last infusion was in August 2010. My eyes are STILL watering like a faucet. In November of 2010 when my eyes were watering I went to an opthamologist. He said that watery eyes are a well known side effect of Taxotere. He said that it will probably go away but could not even hazard a guess as to when that might be. Note that I said probably. That also means that it might NOT go away. He also said that Taxotere can damage the tear ducts but at that time he felt that my ducts had not been damaged. He prescribed me some eye drops called Lotemax in an attempt to help the situation. They did absolutely no good whatsoever. I am now 10 months post-chemo and live with tissues in my pockets at all times. The skin around the eyes is very tender and mine is frequently irritated due to salty tears and all the wiping. It is truly a pain in the --- but if Taxotere saved my life then I am all for it. I will save the discussion of the fingernails/toenails for another time.

I found out that the taxotere actually is tricking our sinus system into thinking we have dry eyes.....and therefore our eyes are producing the tears.
I have found some help in eye drops for dry eyes.
I just hope and pray it does go away after I finish chemo.....2 more times and I am FINISHED!!!!!!0 -

I had watery eyes until my lashes returned sometime after rads were done. My eyes are fine now even though it was annoying when they dripped all time.

My watery eyes are much better, but it's been 9 months since my last infusion (ok 8 1/2). They still water but not nearly as much. I'm getting permanent eyeliner. I can't see to put it on and it just washes off with the tears. I have minimal eyelashes and still NO eyebrows. Got to do something.
When I was in treatment, I went to the grocery store one day thinking I was ok. I wasn't. I was weak and unstable and my eyes were tearing so badly I couldn't see. In hindsight, I must have looked really pathetic. People probably thought I was crying as I was using the cart to keep me upright. Stupid Taxotere.

Yes
I had Cytoxen/Taxotere (2 rounds, last round 9/23/10). My eyes finally stopped watering around the end of March/beginning of April. Hang in there!0 -

I was wearing contacts through my treatments. I had to remove them and wear the glasses.
the tears stopped. My Onc said my lens was absorbing some of the chemo. It really helped.0
