The Dreaded Prep
Knew that there would be blood too and just hate that when it happens, but when those blood vessels get so close to the top, they just burst. Once it's done, it's done. Hoping doctor can see if they are getting better. In December, when mentioning the blood he just said he's not concerned about it. And it only happens if I'm straining a lot or going a lot.
Got the drink down (all 64 oz) in about 1 1/4 hours. About half way through the bathroom was calling my name. Sure doesn't take me long. Plus earlier it was about 5 times so I'm assuming I'd better be cleaned out. Ate way too much before starting this prep too since I'm not supposed to eat after 5. My poor tummy.

Just got scoped
I got scoped on Tuesday and was certainly glad when it was done.
Wonderful to spend Memorial Day Monday doing the prep for my first colonoscopy since my initial diagnosis and treatments. I am so glad that it was clean and now I don't have to have another for three years.
On the bright side, with everything cleaned out I have had the best nights since all this started. Maybe I should do a prep every week. One night of agony is certainly better than anxiety all week.
I hope everything is clean for you as well.

How Are You Feeling, Kim?
I had to do my first prep before my colon surgery--ugh! So I had the pain from my LUMP (which was protruding from my abdomen) and had to do this, too.
But after my surgery, I received a portable potty and guess what I'll be using NEXT time I have to do this dreaded thing (which will be in July.. yuck). But at least I'll be more comfortable and able to watch TELEVISION this time.
Also my new doc has some other way of doing the cleansing--things I can purchase over-the-counter. I don't know if it will be any better than that full-strength hospital stuff I had to take the last time (some kit), but I guess we'll see!
I also have to talk my husband into getting HIS colonoscopy scheduled. . .(he's never had one and he's a little older than I am!).0 -

After going the bathroom for all of that night and most of yesterday, I'm thinking I'm more cleaned out now than when having the scope. Today haven't gone at all and now I'm feeling the constipation starting. This just is not a good situation. Take something to go and take something to stop it. Oh my goodness, I'll never know. Never did ask the doctor about the tea to help constipation (Senna tea). I'll use a bag maybe two a week but dilute it. Hope your lump is feeling better and that you are on the mend.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time right now. If you ever find out about the tea, I'd be interested. You know constipation is my "issue."
*hugs*
