Whoa, we have been on a h*ll of a ride lately. Almost too much heartbreaking and terrifing news coming in all the same time. I'm having a good hard cry and then I'm putting on those Big Girl panties because we have many newbies who have joined us lately. They are overwhelmed with being diagnosed and fearful of starting chemo. We've all stood in their shoes. I love you all, my sisters.

    I'm taking out my sexy BIG GIRL panties :-)
    They're red lace and given to me as a gag gift at a party a couple of years ago. Didn't think I'd make use of them, but with my zipper stitch belly and colostomy bag, not something to post on FaceBook, but a good laugh for my husband!

    Grannie panties
    I was going through my unmentional drawer and found some grannie panties. Those will be my big girl panties.

    I remember being a kid on my grandmother's ranch and hanging up her laundry to dry. She had the whole grannie panties thing going. She bought and paid for a ranch in the 1930's or earlier than that. The area of Texas was male dominated. The male family members had her put the deed in one of the elder males names. Females....just did not own land on their own. My grandparents came from Spain and were ultra traditional.

    Despite the name on the deed that ranch was hers. Until a big box grocery store came to town she provided meat for the area. She raised all sorts of animals. Everyone knew her. The ranch is right on the border. Even then there were troubles with people up to no good. She had her own set of shot guns, and revolvers.

    No one messed with my grandma. She is the matriarch of my family. She is as senile as can be. In fact they ended up having to take her guns because she thought someone had kidnapped the grandkids. She was going to hunt whomever took the kids.

    Grannie panties it will be for me.

    OK, this is a little off-topic but I saw that retro two-piece bathing suites were coming back in style--the ones that have a bikini top but the bottoms were high waisted. I thought, now that would do to cover that belly scar nicely.

    I really don't care for swimming much and probably won't be looking for a new bathing suit this year. Just thought I would share that bit of info.

    how funny i just bought a retro one-piece swimsuit with skirt it looks like something Marilyn Monroe wore on the beach in Some Like It Hot!!!! It is VERY flattering tho, hides the scar, holds the tummy in and gives you nice shaped boobs!!!
