Forgeting about Cancer
I caution myself not to be too hopeful, but I do enjoy the momentary lapse from constant cancer worries.
I would love nothing more than this time to be the beginning of my long-term cure. However I have been down this path before and want to be realistic.
Interesting time to say the least.

You've got the right attitude!! It's always best to know what
the score is, deal with it, and do whatever it takes to get
to where you want to be. Reality can never be more important!
I see so, so many fine individuals being blind-sided by "good reports"
that turn sour a few months or even years later. We can -never- let
our guard down; never, ever.
And it's not "fear", it's just an honest, real concern about the
reality of any diagnosis of cancer, and the usual outcome..
You've got the right attitude.
Please look into -any- of the alternatives that can enhance your
immune system. The good ones are the least costly ones, BTW.
Use them along with the usual care, or between treatments, but
don't do "nothing", we simply don't have the time to "do nothing".
You'll do well, my friend! I truly believe that!
My best to you,

Happy for you
Mike,
Great news. I too share your positive outlook. I have scans and blood tests every 3 months and I am trying to view these as opportunities to live my life with quality and joy. Enjoy your new life.

So good to hear!
I hope you can just enjoy all the wonderful things happening in your life now and not worry too much. I know, cancer's always in the back of our minds at least a little. But you seem really focused on the good at the moment, and that's great! Keep making those wonderful memories.
*hugs*

good to hear from you
Hi Mike,
Good to hear from you! How are you liking San Diego and how is your new job going?
Our usual southern California weather pattern has June as a "June gloom" month with cloudy weather much of each day. So far, it's June 2nd and no sign of it! Gloom- stay away! (I hope so, anyhow). Our usual hottest months are always August and September here in southern Cal. I never expect the weather to get summer hot until at least mid July. Meanwhile, enjoy the current clear skies! Interesting to live down town. Take time to explore the county- we have many beautiful jewels of places to see from the coast where you are to the inland valleys and up to the local mountains in the towns of Julian (especially fun to visit in fall) and Palomar.
Take care!!
