She wrote a post this morning but it got eaten by the cyber moster, who obviously does not like Fang Fish.

Lisa is doing the best she can, all things considered. She is at her mom's and finds comfort in surrounding herself with her mom's things.

It's been really hard, of course. Her mom fought very hard, right up to the end, and Lisa is just drained, emotionally.

    she has been thru so much heartbreak. I am sure she is drained and in shock. Give her our love. I hope she can come back the board and maybe tell us a little about her mom, her name or her favorite flower. Sounds silly I am trying to imagine what her face looks like, I am sure she is beautiful....val

    I love Joan!
    She reminds me a bit of my "tough cookie" mom. I still smile to myself when I think about Lisa and W getting in bed with her and saying nice things to her (giving her "permission" to go) and her mouthing the words, "Be quiet!". She is my kind of woman, and although she never posted she has a place in our hearts because of what Lisa has shared about her. She was a fighter until the end!

    Lisa, thank you for sharing your mom's journey with us an thank you for also being there for us!

    Take all the time you need to rest and process.

    Maria....Lisa and I have
    Maria....Lisa and I have each other on speed dial, I think. I talked to her yesterday and emailed back and forth last night and today. She has made a slideshow in memory of her mom. Right now she is staying at her mom's house and that gives her a measure of comfort.

    All of us who have walked in her shoes know what a hard time this is for Lisa. She will be back as soon as she can.

    If anyone could maybe make her smile just a little right now you could! It's just so hard to lose someone close to us and many know it was harder when it was our mom.

    Oh, Thank you! I am so happy to see this. The only other photo I have seen of Joan was from last Christmas, when she was quite ill.
