No guarantees reallysrwruns said:I was 1c and they felt
I was 1c and they felt surgery got all the cancer but still did 6 rounds of chemo because I was clear cell an aggressive type of cancer. Surgery can get rid of all visible cancer but microscopic cells can be left behind. Chemo will hopefully get those.
It's hard to answer your question without knowing more about your individual situation. I have heard of women who only had surgery without chemo--it depends on how aggressive the cancer is and how early it was found. I think your doctor would not be doing chemo unless he/she felt it was medically necessary.
Once cancer touches you, you have to adjust to a new "normal." The biggest challenge is your own imagination.
