Hope lives on!
Yeah, Craig! Glad to hear that "depression has moved out- glad his lease was up, lol! And Hope lives on!" Maybe it's good that you got the scan scheduled so quickly, so you didn't have to ponder it for weeks at a time. I know you've now got to wait a few days over the long weekend for results, but at least it's not like you've had the date on your calendar for weeks. Praying for you, my friend! :O)

***** NEW UPDATE *****
"Houston, we've got a problem..."
I've been researching the "Mumbo Jumbo" terminology that litters my report trying to decipher the results. I've made sense out of most of it, but there were a couple of "Attention Getters" that caught my eye.
Along with the mis-handling of the scan date itself, my onc decided we were not going to have a meeting to discuss the test results. "If you call me, I'll call you back." After nearly a year of jumping through your hoops, you don't have 30-minutes to go over the biggest scan I've had in recent years?
So, I set about to find out as many of my own answers as I could - and boy did I.
But, I've got a couple of questions and clarifications that I want answered and he is hard to understand over the phone.....so I set up and appointment for this Friday, very late afternoon.
I want to get all of the facts before I post anything as I don't want to misrepresent anything...I don't want to guess, have waited too long not to be sure. An eyeball-to-eyeball meeting should do the trick.
So, we're going to be delayed with the "Results Post" a few more days as I track down the final details, I'm afraid to say.
Just wanted to let you all know so you could relax. I don't want to worry anyone. I've just seen things that I've not seen on any other scan. That's always a little unnerving to say the least.
My apologies but please bear with me. I'll get this handled and then let everybody off the hook.

Well, I'm hoping you're over-reacting and a sensible reading by the doc will put all of our minds at rest...however it goes, know we're here to support you and help deal with anything that comes.

Hi Craig,
It might be good to check who the radiologist who read your scan was and compare with who the radiologist was on past scan reports. Just saying this because sometimes they write things different and interpret things slightly differently. A couple of years back, after getting two nebuliously written scan reports, I asked my onc about this and we discovered that both of the poorly written scan reports were done by the same person & I had never had that particular radiologist read any of my other scans. Since that time, I write specific instructions down when I go to get the scan... Write the date of my last scan for comparison & also write "please compare all present and past nodules and SUV uptake by being as specific as possible in regards to any increases or decreases in nodules' sizes and in comparing SUV uptake on the PET portion of the scan. I've been fortunate since then that my scan reports have been much more detailed. Now I wonder what info they left off before! I had something new on my last scan report (in March) that I had never seen before on any report too. Was kind of confusing but after asking about it, I found that it was actually something positive.
I'm hoping and praying that is what it will be for you. Praying for you, my friend...
Hugs to you and I will be thinking of you. I'll be in sauna sessions and 2 dr appts all day Friday myself- so while I sweating away in the sauna, I will definitely take time to pray for you.

Hi Craig,
I used to get a copy of my scans early when I fractured my neck. I was a basket case by the time I saw the Doc. It seems that what I thought I read was totally different than what she reported to me.
Keep those positive thoughts going! I will keep you close in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
