Please mention this annoying side effort to yourMAJW said:Watery eyes...
Goes along with Taxotere....partly due to the drugs and partly due to no eyelashes....I just lived with it...it does go away when chemo is finished...
Wishing you well...
Hugs, Nancy
Oncologist .. perhaps he/she can call provide you with a prescription eye drop to help you.
Personally, it took months .. and I do mean months, to get relief .. In fact, last August my eyes and nose dripped and teared uncontrollably at our first annual Southern California luncheon in Long Beach, and I had finished my taxotere and carbo in late December .. so, 8 months later my eyes and nose continue to run like a leaky faucet.
Please remember that we are all different, and while some side efforts are minimal for some, they can be extreme for others. Again, please check with your doctor ..
Strength, Courage and Hope.

Try Systane
I had watery itchy eyes all through the chemo. I have dry eye normally and the chemo made it worse. My eye doctor told me to use Systane, 1 drop every hour for about a week and then every 2 hours after that. It seems funny to put drops in for watery eyes, but the dry eye actually causes your eyes to water... it's over compensating for the dryness. I actually didn't get this advice until after the chemo and was almost instantly relieved. Wished I had asked someone during the chemo...might have suffered a little less!0 -

I was sent to Zaditore for the itchy watery eyes. It worked for me but check with your onc. for sure.0 -
Very interesting! I am
Very interesting! I am having the same side effect but assumed it was just allergies, hmmm... I'll have to ask about it and keep watching this thread to see if anyone here comes up with a solution.

Watery like a faucet
Hi Candu,
That is how I describe my eyes - watery like a faucet. I had 4 rounds of A/C and 12 rounds of Taxotere. My last infusion was almost 10 months ago and my eyes STILL are watery. The rubbing and wiping bothered me so much that I even went to an opthamologist. He said it is "a well known side effect of Taxotere." He prescribed some eyedrops named Lotemax but they did no good whatsoever. He said it will go away eventually but could not even make a guess as to when that might be. I hope you have better luck with this issue than I did. IRENE0 -

I had watery eyes for several months. After chemo I had 28 rads and several times I would lie on the table and feel the tear running down the side of my face. I'm not sure when but it finally stopped. I finished rads Feb. 15. My lashes have grown back and I think that's what helped.
