I have heard from Annie (Annecris), Joanie (JLoe), and Marty (Mawty) and am pleased to report that they are all doing well.
Annie, as I posted elsewhere, is busy planning her wedding, where she will be dancing a special dance with NED.
Marty, who has had 2 1/2 years of chemo so far, is feeling great, too. She may have to go back into treatment because her CA125 is inching upward (it's only 50, but at her diagnosis, it was only 58). She is weary of it all but her fighting spirit has not wavered.
Joanie, the woman with energy to spare, finished her Topo last week and will get a new scan in a couple of weeks. She feels really good, too. Joanie is another one who has been on chemo of one kind or another for a very long time, but she looks fantastic and she's still working and bustling around NYC like a dynamo. She is going to look for a clinical trial if the Topo did not shrink the two areas of disease she started this regimen with.
These ladies give us hope and inspiration. I told them they need to come back here and cheer the rest of us up once in a while!

Thanks for the update, Carlene!
ALL OF YOU LADIES: you see how we WORRY here! As much as I would like to tell you that when you disappear, ALL of us think of you as having left cancer behind and are living a life of endless remission, SOME of us are worriers. We've lost some dear women here, and so our minds don't always jump to a happy conclusion when someone stops posting.
But HOW SWEET IT IS when we hear that all is well! Thanks, Carlene!0 -
So good to hear
Thank you (again) Carlene--it's nice to know those ladies are doing OK. I hope to hear something good about Nancy, too.0 -

Sometmes, I think it would be great to have a "like" button, so those that are not feeling up to writing, or are busy could just click once in a while, so we know they are there.
Love the "mother hen" side of you, Carlene!!

Yes, the "like" button idea is a great one. Thanks, Carlene for your vigilance.0 -
still here
thanks to dear sweet carlene for getting in touch and reminding me to keep eveyone posted and just send the love...as she reported everything is good...energy level is sky high since the trial started and CA-125 has even dropped from 23 in March to 20 in April(at it's highest pre-surgery it was 4,079 and at its lowest post chemo it was 11) - I am going in for Blood work tomorrow and will receive my last shot next month - I am bummed that Carlene's and my schedule are off now - hopefully we will all party when this is done and moved on to the next phase and hopefully keeps working ... Love to all you Strong Wonderful sisters -0
