IGM elevated- need treatment

Just found out on Thursday that my IGM level is elevated again (1200). My onc says that treatment is necessary soon. It's in my stomach (per biopsy), I have a swollen node in my neck, have one in my groin, it's still in my bone marrow, and probably in my small bowel. What I have to do now is get a second opinion from a gastroenterologist for my diarrhea problem. Then a second opinion from an oncologist at Sloan Kettering and then treatment. I am so sad. My remission wasn't really a remission. I just finished treatment at the end of September and here I go again. We never know how this disease is going to go but I had really felt that I would get a longer reprieve than this. So I am depressed and trying hard to accept this.
On top of it all I have a new boss that I can't stand. I think he is violating my rights with his demands on me ( I am taking some FMLA days each week). It's just another stressor that I don't need right now.
Ahhhhh. Praying for strength an acceptance. And praying that I don't punch out my boss.
Love,
Donna

So sorry
Hi Donna,
Wow, so sorry for the bad news. I wish you could of had a longer remission too. Seems like a lot of folks are having new struggles lately. Hoping that it will get sorted out soon and you can begin your journey to remission.
Sorry about the lame boss, you really do not need this right now.
Prayers and (((hugs)))

Dear Donna,
I agree, from Jan 2011 till now is too short of a remission. Me too, Jan 2011 remission Jan 2011. On May 9, I saw my oncologist. She didn't suggest a Pet Scan, maybe because I had
2 prior scans negative for cancer. I did have a blood test, and was tested for so many things.
Everythig good except the Immunoglobulin Tests: lgG 543 low, lgM 38 low. Not sure if I will wait until I see the doctor again in Sept. This is troubling me.
I am truly sorry for all the up and coming tests. Especially not expecting anything to change from Jan 2011. To top it off, a new boss tormenting you.
Hugs and love from me. Maggie0 -
I'm so sorry...
Oh Donna...I am so sorry! It's makes me so sad that you have to start treatment again, especially with summer here. Well, summer or not, I just wish you had gotten a longer period of time to heal and rest up..there's no good time to have to do treatments. I'll be keeping you in my prayers friend, and I know you will keep us up-dated.
God bless you...Sue (FNHL-2-3-3A-6/10)0 -

that sucks
Donna, that sucks! can't say it any other way. no one wants to it so soon. Just not fair.
I hope you have good discussions with all your 2nd opinion doctors to feel comfortable with your plan. Any vacation plans this summer that they can help you work around so that you can still enjoy your vacation? and if you don't have a vacation planned, maybe do that first! something to look forward to mid-way! A picnic at your favorite lake or park.
Keep in Touch!
Hugs!

Just a thought
Donna,
I am not a doctor. Since the NHL is in your small bowel, did the doctor mention
there is a chance of the small bowel perforating???
In the event you ever get a pain in your abdomen? Do not attempt to drive to the hospital,
call an ambulance immediately. Also, be careful of any medication that could harm
your stomach. Read the labels carefully. Example: Aleve and Advil. Only take something
like Tylenol. Try and take all medication with Yogurt, or some other food.
Of course, speak with the doctor about my post. He knows more than me.
love Maggie0
