Onco appointment following the bone scan

He told me that it may (which means does) have tougher side effects than the Abraxane and we will have to check my blood levels more often because it is known to lower both the platelets and the white cells, and can lower my blood pressure further which was 90/50 today, along with all of the other lovely chemo side effects.
I will not start this until next Wednesday because UHC needs to approve it, and my port is blocked. They injected a stronger dose of Heparin and hope that will unblock it, if not there is another med that they can try and clear it out with but it takes most of the day, so I am going in at 9a, so we have enough time to clear it. It beats replacing the port!
Sorry that it wasn't better news and I am pretty down tonight. This disease sucks!
~Carol

Dear Carol-
I'm so sorry to read your latest news. I hope the new chemo doesn't take a huge toll on your body. I've never heard of it, but that means absolutely nothing.
Stupid, ugly, awful, sneeky cancer! I hate it for you, me and everyone else who has done battle with it.
Sending hugs, hope and prayers to you.

angry, sad, whatever you need to be. And then, come out with those boxing gloves on, dearheart, and fight, fight, fight like a girl! Even with all the side effects your doctor may tell you about--you may be the one who doesn't get them. Or, they might be much milder than you think. And, just think--this could be the drug that really works for YOU.
My strongest positive energy is being sent to you today, Carol. Keep us informed and come here to talk.

Just knowing there is something that could possibly work and gives you more time is good. The more time the more chances of it getting wiped out.I am praying for a miracle.Miracles happen all the time.So prayers and thoughts to you.
I know what you mean about BP.Mine was very low last night.I had a tick in on ear(they are bad this year). I couldn't get it out.I went to Urgent Care.My BP was 98/80. It has been many many years since my BP has been that low.I felt like it was going to be up I was so upset trying to get the tick.
"I BELIEVE!!!!" Things will work out for you.
